Miller-Valentine Group Announces Opening
of New Iron Mountain Facility
Columbia, S.C. (May 20, 2010)-- Miller-Valentine has completed upfitting a 45,000 square-foot document storage and imaging facility in Greer, S.C. for longstanding client Iron Mountain, the information management company. Just opened in April, the new facility will hold hardcopy files for state and Georgia organizations and features climate-controlled storage for more important documents as well as an imaging room for creating electronic copies of paper records. .

Located off of Interstate 85, just south of Greer, the document storage and scanning facility is the newest of nine such facilities that Iron Mountain operates across the state. The Greer facility, which started filling with records last month, will house records from organizations located primarily in the Northwest portion of the state as well as Northeast Georgia.
The building's document-scanning room is becoming a more common feature in Iron Mountain facilities across the world as customers want quicker access to paper documents and not just secure storage. Since 2002, Iron Mountain has opened more than 200 of these scanning operations, which collectively image more than 50 million pages a month.
