Kinetic Vision relocates to Evendale Commons

Cincinnati, OH (October 4, 2010) Kinetic Vision, a growing product design and development firm, has relocated its offices to Evendale Commons. The firm has grown steadily in recent years, relocating each time it outgrew its current space.

Kinetic Vision, founded in 1988, has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years. Revenues and number of employees have more than doubled from 2005 levels.

The new 10,000 square-foot building, near the corner of Reading and Glendale-Milford Road, is specifically tailored to the company's needs and provides ample room for future growth. Approximately 2,000 square feet of the space will be dedicated for prototype assembly and testing, with the remainder utilized as general office space. Many "green" environmental ideas were incorporated into the facility, including 100% use of energy efficient lighting such as LED, advanced building thermal management, room lighting motion sensors, and the use of low-energy appliances, computers, and large-screen displays.

"Our business has been steadily growing because in today's lean corporate environment, companies are increasingly turning to external resources to help develop new products," said Rick Schweet, President of Kinetic Vision. "Our firm provides complete product development services, including product ideation, 3D computer design and simulation, to the creation of working prototypes. We are very fortunate to have some of the best local companies as our clients, but our business now extends throughout the U.S. and internationally as well."

Evendale Commons was selected as the site for the new headquarters because of its easy accessibility to many of Kinetic Vision's clients, Miller-Valentine's strong reputation, and the availability of local tax incentives.

Schweet wanted the office space to have a unique "Northwest" feel in its design. "This was a great project for us because the styling of the building is very contemporary but we were able to incorporate cost-effective construction techniques which included polished and stained concrete floors and an architectural metal panel system," said Peter Horton, Vice President, Development for Miller-Valentine Group.

"Rick, like many of our clients, felt that owning versus leasing really made sense in this economic environment," noted Horton. "In addition to providing room for expected future growth, Kinetic Vision now has the ability to brand its business while making an important capital investment."

Kinetic Vision expects to move into the space in mid-October

Miller-Valentine Group has an additional 20 acres of space available at Evendale Commons for office development.
