CINCINNATI PRINTING AND PRE-MEDIA FIRM EXPANDS EXISTING FACILITY TO SERVICE KEY CUSTOMERS
Miller-Valentine Group to design and construct 40,000 square-foot addition
CINCINNATI, (October 30, 2007) - In order to meet the changing needs of key customers, Stevenson, The Color Company, a fourth-generation family-owned and operated printing company is expanding; adding 40,000 square feet to its existing 80,000 square-foot facility at 535 Wilmer Avenue in Cincinnati.
Stevenson, The Color Company provides a full range of printing and pre-media services to a national client base including Kroger, Macy’s and Office Max. Seven years ago, the company made a strategic decision to expand the printing and fulfillment side of its business. The company hired Miller-Valentine Group to design and build a new space that could support these increased printing and fulfillment volumes. The decision paid off; the business grew. So Stevenson, The Color Company has returned to Miller-Valentine Group to design and build more space on its Wilmer Avenue location.

“We are in a competitive industry with excess capacity, so part of our ability to grow has been executing a good business plan,” said Stevenson. “We took a hard look at our business and came to the conclusion that it wasn’t going to be just a matter of cutting costs to compete; it was going to be about reinventing our business. Even though we’re an 81-year-old company, we’re much newer in a lot of ways. The growth of the printing and fulfillment side of our business is really driving our expansion. We consider it a sign of a good plan that we need a larger, more expansive building to give our customers the mix of services that they require to get their business done.”
Construction of the 40,000 square-foot addition by Miller-Valentine Group is underway and is expected to be complete January 2008.
