Miller-Valentine Group Brings 183,000 SF
Manufacturing Facility Back to Life
July 28, 2011 - Miller-Valentine Group recently began the Design/Build renovations to an existing industrial facility located in Lexington County. Once complete, the 183,000 SF building will be transformed into a state-of-art corrugated packaging facility for Interstate Container, a business unit of Interstate Resources, Inc., headquartered in Arlington, VA. The facility will manufacture Greencoat™, a 100% recyclable, corrugated packaging product used in the food industry.
Miller-Valentine Group’s Design/Build team is executing improvements to the office and manufacturing areas, including improvements in process related utilities, foundations, and infrastructure in preparation to receive production equipment. Miller-Valentine has vast experience in renovating industrial and manufacturing facilities for its customers and is working closely with Interstate Container and their equipment suppliers to fast track the design and construction to allow a fall 2011 occupancy.
“The professionalism of the entire Miller-Valentine team, their attention to detail, and the standards that they hold themselves and their team members to are second to none. We are glad to have Miller-Valentine as a critical team member in the start-up of our newest facility,” said Jim Krahn, Leader of Process and Product Innovation for Interstate Resources. “This facility will further our ability to serve customers throughout the eastern United States with our sustainable and innovative product, Greencoat™,” said Krahn.
