Miller-Valentine Group Volunteers
at Habitat for Humanity ReStore

August 31, 2011 - Miller-Valentine Group partnered with the United Way of the Midlands and dedicated an afternoon for their employees to volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, located on HWY 378 in West Columbia.  The ReStore, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, accepts donations of new and gently used building materials, appliances, furniture and other household items.  These items are used to build housing for low-income families serving the Habitat for Humanity mission and are sold to the general public to fund their building projects.

Miller-Valentine associates volunteered at the store on Friday, August 26th and were tasked with sorting through donations, unloading trucks, and stocking shelves with merchandise. “Giving back to the community is one of our corporate beliefs and we feel strongly in serving the community where we live and do business every day,” said, Steve Koewler, president of Miller-Valentine Group.Miller-Valentine has been an active supporter of the United Way and participated in their fundraising and community service efforts for over twenty years.
